SBW Raptors – Terms & Conditions for Falconry Displays & Experience Session Bookings

​

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to all bookings made with SBW Raptors for falconry displays at events and private experience sessions. By confirming a booking, the Client agrees to be bound by the following terms.

1. Bookings & Payment

1.1. A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required at the time of booking to secure the date.
1.2. The balance must be paid in full at least 14 days prior to the event or session, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
1.3. SBW Raptors accepts payment by bank transfer, PayPal, or cash (by prior arrangement).
1.4. Bookings are not confirmed until written confirmation and the deposit have been received.

2. Cancellations & Refunds

2.1. Cancellations by the Client within 14 days of the event or session date are chargeable at the full fee.
2.2. Cancellations made earlier than 14 days before the booking will forfeit the deposit, but no further charges will apply.
2.3. If SBW Raptors must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. serious illness, vehicle breakdown), we will:

  • Offer to reschedule to a mutually convenient date;

  • Or provide a full refund, including the deposit, if no suitable date can be found.

 

3. Weather & Outdoor Displays

3.1. Bird welfare and safety are paramount. In cases of adverse weather (e.g. high winds, heavy rain, extreme heat), flying displays may be altered, delayed, or cancelled entirely at the discretion of SBW Raptors.
3.2. If a flying display cannot go ahead on the day due to unsuitable weather conditions, the full agreed price remains payable.
3.3. A static display, educational session, or alternative indoor falconry interaction may be provided where appropriate, subject to conditions and prior agreement.
3.4. SBW Raptors cannot be held responsible for any disappointment, loss of income, or impact on the event due to the cancellation of the flying portion of the display.

 

4. Client Responsibilities

4.1. The Client must ensure that the display or session area is:

  • Safe, secure, and suitable for the birds and handlers;

  • Free from potential hazards (e.g. drones, loose dogs, loudspeakers, fireworks);

  • Accessible for vehicle unloading and parking near the display area.
    4.2. Minimum display space requirements and access needs will be communicated in advance.
    4.3. If the area is found unsuitable on arrival, SBW Raptors reserves the right to cancel the display without refund.

 

5. Experience Sessions (Private or Group)

5.1. Participants must follow all safety instructions given by SBW Raptors staff at all times.
5.2. Handling or flying of birds is only permitted under direct supervision.
5.3. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
5.4. SBW Raptors reserves the right to remove any participant who behaves in a way that risks the safety of the birds, staff, or others.

 

6. Insurance & Liability

6.1. SBW Raptors holds full Public Liability Insurance. A copy can be provided on request.
6.2. We are not liable for:

  • Any loss or damage arising from the Client’s failure to meet their responsibilities;

  • Injury to individuals due to their own negligence or failure to follow instructions;

  • Delays or non-performance due to factors beyond our control.

 

7. Photography & Media

7.1. SBW Raptors may take photographs or video recordings during events or sessions for promotional purposes.
7.2. If you do not wish to be included in any photography or filming, please inform us in writing prior to the event.

 

8. Force Majeure

8.1. SBW Raptors shall not be liable for delay, cancellation, or failure to deliver services due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including (but not limited to) natural disasters, road closures, fuel shortages, or extreme weather.

 

9. Governing Law

9.1. These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
9.2. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

 

10. Agreement

By making a booking with SBW Raptors, the Client confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
